Job Summary
What's the job?
The Plant Training Specialist supports the Learning & Development strategy for all Peachtree City CertainTeed employees by development and delivery of effective virtual and in-person Instructor Led Training (ILT) solutions. They partner with subject matter experts, key stakeholders, and recommend training strategies, tools, and materials that support enhanced job performance and increased productivity in alignment with the CertainTeed's business objectives.
Assists with preparing, researching, planning, organizing, and conducting of plant programs amongst varying departments.Establish position training requirements and develops progression plans.Collaborate with plant personnel to define and develop training for hourly workforceAs directed will review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs.Communication with Plant Management and Staff level employees along with plant supervisors on operations training materialPrepares and distributes training program aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; sets up audiovisual equipment and makes presentations when necessary.Works with various functions to maintain the training library within the facility operationCollaborate with training personnel in other roofing sites to establish standard and consistent procedures.Updates and maintains electronic equipment which supports plant reporting (i.e., iPads used for Gensuite)Will participate in the talent development, understanding and review of varying positions within the plantFollow, implement, and enforce appropriate safety precautions throughout the plant.Assist with HR department activities, as necessaryOther duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
What do you bring?
Associates degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment,Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing problem solving, prioritizing and organizational skills. High level of knowledge and understanding of computer systems and programs, especially proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.Ability to professionally and effectively problem solve, and remain calm in, at times, high-stress situations.The ability to shift back and forth between the various functions and multitask throughout the workday.Strong oral and written communication, attention to detail, and analytical/data tracking skills.
