As an Intern, PL Lean, you'll support the refinement and/or execution of the enterprise Lean Management System model, as assigned. This including delivering training curriculum, process confirmation, coaching associates and front line leaders, execute reporting, and contributing to Lean Community of Practice. We'll count on you to solve business unit problems using Lean and other continuous improvement techniques and provide input to the enterprise-wide strategy and execution model for Lean and continuous improvement.

Job Description – Key Responsibilities
Supports and matures process changes implemented during the initial Lean deployment by ensuring adherence to the process as well as encouraging continuous refinement and improvement. Ensures projects are consistently aligned to Hoshin or business unit strategy.Works and consults with business unit reporting and data analytics. Participate in pulse surveys as needed to understand the mentalities and behaviors of the organization. May support other maturity resources to analyze and trend health of the Lean management system. Uses data sources and tools to set up analyses and create graphical outputs as guided.Manages small projects and participate in larger projects to achieve desired business objectives. Support may include coordination and prioritization of projects, including planning, communication, execution and completion. May manage and implement strategic business processes that support business requirements.Provides lean onboarding training and capability building to new associates, leads and leaders. May participate in and support the facilitation of specialized sessions and CI events (e.g. Kaizen, brainstorming).Participates in or supports Lean maturity assessments, including sessions where leaders further develop the action plan. May coordinate, with some guidance, the execution of the action item plan and providing visibility to the progress.Conducts gembas, sit-withs and other techniques to support the business unit, assess areas of strength and opportunities and provide appropriate coaching or support.Supports other maturity agents to improve and mature the use of Lean tools to improve the business processes and identify the pipeline for Green and Black Belt projects, standard work improvements and iterations, socializing successes from problem solving, improving face-to-face interactions of managers and associates, use of the skills matrix in managing and improving skills.Works with and consults other maturity agents or shared service group to provide support for an area. Provides support to core Lean activities such as huddles, problem solving, 1:1s and "sit-with" session by monitoring adherence, conducting process confirmations, giving feedback to and coaching business partners and calling out gaps of risks to leadership.Supports in-depth analysis across the Lean system with guidance; searches for correlations or relationships to improve the overall system. Influences the continued use of visual management and active engagement of all leader levels, associates and key partners.
