MAIN REPONSIBILITIES
MSLs actively engage in activities that support the scientific strategic direction of a product.Cultivate scientific based relationships, by providing scientific information of Pfizer's medicines, key molecules, or disease area among targeted physicians and other HCPs. As Medical Affairs colleagues, MSLs activities have 100% non-promotional intent and, according to a HCP demand, can provide information about off label use of a Pfizer medicine, but only in a reactive manner.Maintain contact with KOLs and other HCPs by face to face meetings locally and around all the country or by virtual meetings (WebEx meetings or other virtual resources) when applicable. In fact, the main activities will be in a field work setting.The Medical Scientific Liaison will have a constant interaction cross functional with different members of the Business Unit bringing medical insights that may impact the medical community awareness about Pfizer medicine's safety and eficacy or disease area, working to ensure correct use of Pfizer's Medicines;Therefore, MSL will be exposed to key decision makers both within the organization and outside the company. As catalysts of collaboration between Pfizer and HCP, MSL will be a key player to transmit updated information, research resources and medical intelligence.Need to be aware of the latest medical/scientific information with regards to the therapeutic area under his/her responsibility.Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and academic centers to ensure their access to current medical and scientific informationPrepare and develop the scientific information and materials to be discussed with the HCPs with the support advice and approval of the Medical ManagerProvide information to local experts (speakers) to assist in keeping their presentations current and ensure they have medical and scientific information necessary when responding to questions encountered during their presentations.According to HCP's demand, conduct scientific presentations to ensure accessibility of technical information and to expand the current product correct use.Coordinate medical events as part of the objectives in diffusion of scientific information.Work with the Medical Manager to partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for the development of treatment algorithms and guidelines.Collaborate with Medical Manager to facilitate identification and presentation of research opportunities for consideration in support of the product and customers.Assist in implementation of local protocol development and administration for proposals to be supported.Provide information to local experts (speakers) to assist in keeping their presentations current and ensure they have medical and scientific information necessary when responding to questions encountered during their presentationsWork with the Medical Manager to conduct on-going training to field sales force, personnel and others, providing up to date knowledge of the product, uses and external data.Serve as local medical scientific resource planning for communication of product information.Attend scientific meetings, review scientific journals and partners with BUM to foster information on medical concepts and product usage.Gather scientific data that can impact marketing trends and competitive medical intelligence in collaboration with the Marketing colleagues.Act in compliance with all Pfizer policies and particularly with FCPA, MI02, and PIGO policies.Provide reports, insights and metrics to the MSL Manager supporting results aligned with brand objectives.REQUIRED SKILL SET TechnicalMicrosoft Office managementEnglish proficientManagerialBusiness and objective orientedAudience managementTraining and efficient communication.Analytic and proactive.Continuous improvement and innovation oriented.Certifications
