  Responsibilities

  We are looking for a Full Time Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with 2 years experience for our new OB Hospitalist program.

  Schedule: (13-14) 12-14 hour shifts/month. Position may be split into (2) .5 FTE's as well.

  The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for:

  Management of labor up to and including delivery

  Urgent postpartum care

  Care of GYN patients admitted or consulted on, including postoperative patients as requested by generalist physicians

  Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room, including GYN consults

  Triage of all patients who present to the unit or contact the on call service

  Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested

  Level II maternity center

  Level II Special Care Nursery

  24hr in house anesthesia

  rapidly growing suburban market

  Call Schedule: dedicated on-site call coverage with frequency and responsibilities as noted above

  Projected 350 deliveries/year.

  Requirements

  Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  Required Credential(s):

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  Preferred Credential(s):

  • Advanced Life Support.

  Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
