Job Description
Insight Global is assisting a client of ours in Identifying a Physical Therapist for a full time opening. This person will evaluate patients referred for physical therapy to maximize functional mobility and promote return to independent level of function. They will develop, communicate, coordinate, implement, monitor and revise treatment plans with goal of maximizing patient's capabilities.
Essential Job Functions
* Develops and documents, at the completion of the assessment, an age appropriate treatment plan for each patient which is consistent with the assessment, diagnostic outcomes, and evidence based practice.
* Routinely collaborates with patient's physician, nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary team regarding plan of care to coordinate services and enhance patient outcomes. Regular participation in interdisciplinary team conference.
* Patiently and clearly explains treatment plans and expected outcomes to patient before implementing, and as warranted, to minimize apprehension and to facilitate cooperation.
* Implements treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based methods, techniques, and modalities.
* Demonstrates sound clinical judgement in assessing patient's ability to participate in therapeutic activities and adapts conventional therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients unable to follow standard therapy intervention techniques.
* Provides and adapts educational intervention to patients and families.
* Ensures the adequacy of patient care administered by PTA's by observing work, answering questions, explaining proper procedures, demonstrating techniques, and intervening where needed to correct deficiencies.
* Participates in continuing education and incorporates and properly uses new knowledge and skill competencies in own practice.
* Ensures that required documentation and charges are submitted in accordance with established procedures and time frames.
* Provides outreach and learning activities as requested which may include in-services, marketing efforts/generating referrals, performance improvement, and interacting with volunteers and visitors, and providing educational experiences for students.
* Has first-hand knowledge of the status of each patient and oversight of all documentation for services rendered to each patient, including awareness of fees and reimbursement structures.
* Prioritizes and adjusts assignments or schedule accordingly so as to ensure that required tasks are accomplished in accordance with established time frames to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of patient care.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
* Current NC license or licensure from a compact state
* BLS or BCLS from the American Heart Association
* Organizational skills, Problem-solving skills, Interpersonal skills, and Typing and basic computer skills * Master's degree in Physical Therapy or higher
* 1+ year of Physical Therapy Experience null
