The Pharmacy Technician Pool Traveling Per Diem obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. Performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Pharmacy Technician (Pool Traveling Per Diem), supervised by a Pharmacist, performs the following duties.
Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs
Assists Pharmacists in price-checking and restocking drugs
Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer
Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to Pharmacist
May operate a cash register
Follow standard policies and practices
Will work as needed at the following locations: Plant City, Tampa, and Largo, FL

Schedule: Per Diem as needed, can work typical operation hours 8:30am-5pm EST (can work up to 40 hours per week depending on business need). This is an "in-person" role, not eligible for work at home or remote work Required Training Schedule: 2 weeks of training M-F 8:30am-5pm EST. You will train 1 week at our Largo Suncoast Pharmacy, FL location & 1 week at our Plant City, FL location.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in in the state of Florida
Must have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of hire
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
Ability to travel to cover locations in the Daytona Beach Area (Orange City, Ormond Beach & Port Orange)
Stand for extended periods
Frequently required to walk
Frequently reach with hands and arms
Frequently bend
Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Strong written and oral communication skills
