Job Description
Insight Global is looking for Pharmacy Technicians to support an Academic and Magnet Hospital in Washington, DC. This team is supporting the newly built surgical pavilion opened in December These candidates will need to be able to perform duties related to drug distribution and dispensing to improve the outcome and quality of patient care. They will need to be able to prepare all medication orders, including narcotics, for dispensing, which includes drug selection, labeling, and packaging. As well as delivering, triaging, and mixing all medication bags. All techs on this team will also need to be well versed in interpreting medication orders for appropriate strength, route, frequency, and duration. They will be monitoring stock inventory levels, expiration dates, and replenishing supplies of all stock drugs needed and communicating the status/availability of any drugs.
Skills and Requirements
1-2 years of compounding experience
3-4 years of experience overall
High School diploma or GED
LPT (licensed pharmacy tech registry within the DC board) - can interview without but must be comfortable within getting this before starting null
