What you will do
The PGIM Real Estate Systems team is a group of technologists who work directly with the business to implement new technology in addition to supporting the various systems and tools used by the business community. The Systems team is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced iSeries Systems Developer. The successful candidate will work closely with business users to understand complex business requirements and will provide business support and design expertise as needed. This role will be located in Dallas, TX with a hybrid work arrangement, however, highly qualified candidates residing outside Dallas will be considered for a fully remote role.
What you can expect
Perform various analytical, technical, and administrative activities in the development, implementation, and support of in-house and vendor-developed software.Identify, analyze, and document business needs and system requirements by conferring with staff or users.Assist with project plans for the development and/or implementation of large projects.Develop, modify, maintain, test, and install applications to meet business requirements.Code and debug programs in accordance with systems design and technical specifications.Perform ongoing systems maintenance of custom applications to ensure proper application operation, functional efficiency, and effectiveness.Create program specifications, flowcharts, and documentation for new or existing applications.Assist with vendor related software upgrades and fixes.Provides after-hours support, as needed throughout the year.
What you will bring
Five (5) plus years developer experience with the IBM iSeries platform consisting of the following skills, required:RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE, Free-Format)CLP programmingSQL programmingEmbedded RPG/SQL programmingJava/Embedded RPG Java callsClient Access/File TransferiSeries operationsSFTP protocolsIFSAldon LMi change management system or equivalent a plus.PowerBuilder, a plusStrong Accounting/Finance background and experience supporting complex applications in the commercial Real Estate industry, preferredWorking knowledge/experience of application development methodology, business workflows and processes, and analytical/system toolsGood analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communications skillsExcellent communicator, including strong oral and written skills.Bachelor's degree with a technology or business focus, preferred
