The Auto Product Team is looking for driven and collaborative teammate to help build the future of The Hartford's $2B portfolio of Personal Auto insurance products. This role will include class plan monitoring and analysis for both traditional products and our newly launched Prevail product, which combines cutting-edge technology, customized coverage, and an innovative user experience to win customers in the most competitive insurance marketplace in the world.
This position will function within our Auto Line of Business, working with the partners throughout the enterprise to identify opportunities to improve processes and results while staying ahead of a quickly changing marketplace and economic environment. Using a data-driven test and learn approach, this position will identify opportunities and deliver solutions to improve the customer experience and optimize our product performance. This role can be performed in either a hybrid or remote work arrangement.
Responsibilities:
Perform competitor research and analysis of internal data to create actionable recommendations that improve topline growth or profitability. Includes mining effectively through data, identifying trends, and successfully presenting those trends to leadership.Efficiently building out PowerPoint summarized views of the latest performance that will be presented out to Senior Leadership in a regular setting.Using analytical tools and business knowledge, monitor overall class plan performance, identify potential opportunities and/or solutions, work with the Product Development Team and IT to implement the change, and confirm the benefits of the changes through post-monitoring the impact on KPIs.Build strong relationships with Product Managers, Pricing teammates, and our Home Line Team to understand the nuances of unique state markets and develop creative solutions.Develop in-depth knowledge of The Hartford's auto insurance products, customer experience, data elements, technology architecture, and implementation processes to drive changes to market and train others as needed.Communicate to a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior leaders, project members and front-line staff across Product, Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Service Ops and IT.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in quantitative STEM field.Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably in the property & casualty insurance field.Candidate should be extremely well versed in navigating Excel and pulling data through both SQL and Snowflake.Experience in an analytical driven environment is a plus.Exceptional critical thinking skills concentrating on breaking down the data produced through the mentioned sources above.Demonstrated ability to synthesize various data to produce recommendations and actions.Strong attention to detail, project management skills and drive-for-results mentality, with the ability to multi-task and make decisions in a business context.Solutions-oriented individual, with ability to think strategically and implement change.Ability to develop & sustain productive relationships with both internal and external partners in support of state profitable growth.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
