About the Team
The Performance & Incentive(P&I) department works on lots of interesting projects in compensation, benefits, performance management, long-term incentive and relevant areas. Whether it is developing new world-class compensation policies, diving deep into market research, analyzing big data and benchmarking. The P&I team works on a lot of cool and exciting projects to come up with the best ways to serve our organization. Given the nature of our work, it also creates huge opportunities for collaboration with departments in and outside of the HR organization.
Depending on the candidate's location, this role could be based in either our San Jose office or Los Angeles office.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with the central P&I team to design and iterate performance and compensation policies and principles for TikTok's global countries across EMEA, APAC and Americas to ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and legal compliance;
- Manage Performance Review and Promotion/Salary review projects for local teams and handle day-to-day inquiries raised within the local markets: host knowledge sharing sessions and communicate policies to local HRBPs at company-level; coordinate with local teams to ensure smooth progress; collect local feedback, analyze actual data and work with the central P&I team to enhance policies, online portal functions and project management;
- Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. HRBP, HR ops, Payroll, Legal and Business Leaders) and external vendors on project delivery;
- Research on performance and compensation policies and practices of leading Tech/general industry companies, as well as internal data analysis and interpreting official survey data.
Qualifications
- Working experience: Advantageous to have at least 3 years of experience in HR C&B or performance function;
- Strong analytical capabilities: Analyze trends, surveys, and spreadsheets to determine C&B strategies;
- Great communication and stakeholder management skills: Be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees, the broad HR team and business lead & also be comfortable presenting programs and plans to employee groups, HR and leadership teams;
- Strong Ethics and Discretion: Deal with confidential information and therefore, must be ethical and discrete when it comes to handling sensitive information;
- Hands on experience with managing large datasets, MS Office Skills with advanced knowledge of Excel & Google Sheets.

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $100080 - $192000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
