Performance Analyst for Community Centers

The Program Performance and Planning (PPP) group advances a culture of learning, strategic program development, quality improvement, and data-driven performance management in pursuit of that mission and vision. PPP partners with program managers to select and develop new interventions, analyze and interpret data, assess model fidelity and program effectiveness, apply learning from data analysis and feedback into program improvement efforts, and develop program resources to strengthen operations and service delivery.
About the Position PPP seeks aPerformance Analystto promote excellence through performance measurement, analysis, documentation reviews, report production, collecting participant feedback, and synthesizing and reporting information to guide management decisions, and being a thought partner to managers on operational and programmatic improvement.
This specific role has two domains of work. The first domain, which will be approximately half of the time of this position, will be supporting the analysis needs of Graham Windham’s community center programs, which include the Manhattanville Cornerstone, two Community Schools, and two Beacons. This work will support leadership and staff to make decisions informed by data analysis and interpretation. The second domain is supporting the overall operations of the PPP team by supporting the Chief Performance Officer in managing special projects and supporting overall coordination of PPP functions. These special projects may change over time, but may include supporting agency-wide compliance or accreditation efforts, responding to ad hoc requests, supporting qualitative feedback mechanisms, and more.
This position will support leadership and staff to make decisions to improve programmatic and operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical knowledge, program/data analysis capabilities, and a strong understanding of how non-profit management decision making can be supported by timely and reliable data. The candidate will also have the ability to review, analyze, interpret and succinctly summarize information from diverse sources, including program documentation, focus groups, and surveys.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Community Center Analysis support (50% of time)
Under guidance and direction of the Chief Performance Officer, provide support to program leadership through strategic thinking, planning, and data analysis to support programmatic decisions. This includes partnering with program leaders in regular performance meetings to support best practices and helping program leaders gain insights and determine areas that require additional planning.
Collect and analyze data, produce reports, and summarize and interpret information to guide programmatic decision-making and strengthen program performance.
Conduct discrete analyses in partnership with program leadership to help managers better understand performance concerns and successes.
Support Development through providing data for foundation reports and requests.
Facilitate discussions and coach program supervisors on understanding and interpreting data.
Supporting program leadership and staff through ad hoc additional support that falls under the auspices of PPP functions.
Assist with report development through partnership with program leadership and IT.
Special Projects (50% of time)
Support the Chief Performance Officer in team operations, special projects, and ad hoc requests. These may include, but are not limited, the following:
Council of Accreditation submissions and reporting
Audit and compliance support
Responding to ad hoc information or analysis requests
Coordinating team functions and communications
Updating agency-wide policies, procedures, and systems that relate to PPP functions
Provide other assistance to the PPP team, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, business, public policy, or other related field preferred and at least one year of related experience.
Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint a must.
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Experience designing, distributing and analyzing satisfaction surveys.
Experience with NYC child welfare programs, youth development, education and community center based programs a plus.
Willingness to travel throughout NYC, as needed.

Location This position will be a hybrid position, able to work from any available Graham location in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx, and from remote locations, as per the agency’s hybrid work policy. This position must be available to participate in in-person meetings through New York City.
