Per Diem Occupational Therapist Description Tempus Unlimited is seekingan experienced, outgoing, professional individual to provide functionalevaluations for consumers living in the community under the direction ofTempus Unlimited, Inc. The Occupational Therapist will performassessments/evaluations and make recommendations to MassHealth for PCAservices in the home setting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter,able to work independently out in the community, and is an organizedindividual who has a desire to work with people with disabilities.Serving the Worcester area and up to a 60 mile radius. This is a Perdiem role up to 3 days a week. Essential Functions \ Conductevaluations for Personal Care Attendant (PCA) services based onMassHealth Standard Operating Procedures and regulations. \ Evaluateall consumers in consideration of: range of motion, movement analysis,fine motor skills, sensory motor processing and functional activities ofdaily living. \ Present findings and recommendations of the evaluationsto MassHealth \ Recommend special or adaptive equipment as necessary tomeet the needs of the child or adult at home, at school, and in adaptivesettings. \ Maintain up-to-date data (progress notes, reports,statistics, quarterly reports and any other reports deemed necessary) inthe manner set forth and defined by the agency. \ Inform ProgramManager and other staff of new developments in the field of occupationaltherapy \ Maintain an up-to-date weekly appointment calendar in Outlookshared with Manager \ Follow all HIPAA rules regarding privacy andmaintenance of records to be secured and held at Tempus Unlimited. \Must report all suspected incidents of consumer sexual/physical abuseand neglect to the Disabled Person Protection Commission (DPPC). \Attend monthly agency and department meetings Physical Demands \ Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand,walk, crouch and sit. Travel \ Travel is required for this position andrequires a valid driver?s license, auto insurance and reliable personaltransportation to perform all job duties. Required Experience: \ 1 yearexperience working with people with disabilities \ CPR/First Aidtraining and certification \ Experience working in home based servicesPreferred Experience: \ PCA program experience Required Education \Licensed Occupational Therapist in Commonwealth of MA. Or \ M.S. withcertificate in Occupational Therapy, MA registration in OccupationalTherapy Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, skills,abilities \ Proof of physical exam \ Excellent written and oralcommunication skills \ Positive and willing attitude, encouraging, andpatient with consumers \ Abide by all Tempus Unlimited policies,procedures, and guidelines. \ Able to work independently in thecommunity \ Ability to read, speak, and write English Click Here toApply
