Job Description:
The Pediatric Research Project Manager has accountability will partner with a Senior Research Manager and Regional Research Director to assemble and manage the project team responsible to plan, organize, recommend and secure resources required, and oversee activities needed to build a pediatric research department. The Research Manager / Project Manager is responsible to coordinate with research and hospital leadership for designated projects.
Oversee all aspects of Research Project Life Cycle – single accountable party for project execution.
Rigorously manage scope, schedule, risks, and issues - develop solid mitigation strategies that can be executed quickly to avoid project delays for 2 or more projects simultaneously.
Develops communication plans and provides transparency to stakeholders and leadership.
Validates financial forecasts and expected benefits – reconciles resources and other project expenses and tracks actual value to expected results.
The Research Manager is responsible to adhere to the Intermountain designated governance and processes that include a structured approach that applies expert knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a project to meet objectives.
The Research Manager ensures that all projects have gone through designated governance approval and prioritization processes.
The Research Manager may provide supervisory oversight of project work to one or more collaborators.

• Focused and versatile team member who is comfortable under pressure.
• Ability to communicate with clarity and precision both written and verbally.
• Experience in project management discipline.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills working in a complex, highly matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with leaders and employees at a region/market level or function level.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing 2-3 projects simultaneously, including on-time delivery and benefit realization using sound decision making with limited supervision.
• Ability to effectively track project budget expenses.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
• 5+ years of experience in research.
• Prior experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery network.
• 2 years of leadership experience, includes non-supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of project management tools, electronic spreadsheets, word processing, and reporting tools.
• Working knowledge for project-based budget and financial tracking
• Knowledge of research functions including IRB, Contracting, Clinical Trials, Grant Applications
• Excellent communication skills

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$39.43 - $62.10
