We are seeking a Brand Communications Manager to work on U.S. PR efforts for various beverage brands within the PBNA portfolio. This role resides in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The candidate will support the Brand Communications Sr. Director and is responsible for overseeing the development of PR strategy, creative and materials, day-to-day press activities, media outreach, budget management, agency support and execution. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and passion for sports, gaming, music, entertainment and culture.
Responsibilities
Support team in creating strategic communications plans grounded in key brand priorities for Pepsi and other beverage brandsDrive awareness of brand programs and elevate reputation of brands against pre-determined brand health metricsSupport team in always-on earned strategy and execute to elevate brand reputationProvide strategic counsel on high-level partnerships and programs including key talent deals, sports and media partnershipsCreate and/or review media materials and provide interview preparation that brings brand messaging to lifeConsistently deliver earned media impressions against pre-determined program goalsPitch and provide information to members of the media and relevant influencers, while also cultivating strong relationships with key reportersCoordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure brand programs are vetted and approvedCoordinate with partners in communications to protect brand/company reputation and ensure timely and effective reactive communications and issue/crisis management.Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $98,700 - $165,150 based on a full-time schedule.Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out Annually.Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.
Qualifications
7-9 years of PR experience, including strategic and creative planning, direct interaction with media, and material developmentLos Angeles area preferred, but open to HQ locations such as Purchase, Chicago and PlanoExperience managing brand communications in a fast-moving consumer goods category preferredExcellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to think out-of-the-box to approach projects on time and within budgetStrong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Strong agency and/or client relationship management skillsExcellent time management, organizational and project management skillsExperience with lifestyle and consumer media preferredExperience developing and executing PR programs targeting Gen-Z and millennial consumers preferredKnowledge of sports, music and entertainment is preferredAbility to be proactive and drive alignment in a complex, matrixed environmentStrong interpersonal skillsDegree in English, Communications, PR or related field preferred but not requiredSome travel required
