We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll team, located at our Headquarters in Liberty Lake, Washington.
Job purpose
The Payroll Specialist supports and assists with ensuring efficient and accurate employee data and payroll data administration in a timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities
-Assist with employee transfers, position changes and location updates
-Update direct deposit information and upload employee documents in HRIS
-Help to maintain employee records in HRIS including but not limited to new hires, terminations, benefits, and other changes.
-Assist with preparing and mailing payroll correspondence
-Communicate with other departments regarding status changes and updates
-Ensure FRHC compliance with federal/state/local laws, and taxes
-Distribute and mail physical payroll checks on a bi-weekly basis
-Support HR projects and initiatives as directed by supervisor
-Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in HR or Payroll
-Experience in the health care field
Working conditions
The Payroll Specialist will spend 95% of their time in an office environment indoors. This will require time both spent at a computer station for office work and standing for training. The rest of the time will be spent at venues for events or meetings.
The usual business hours for this role will be Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, however this role will require some evening and weekends to meet job requirements.
This position will require travel as appropriate, approximately 5% of the time.
This position will have moderate supervision.
