Aston Carter is partnering with a medical device company in Santa Clara who are looking for a Payroll Specialist. This person will be responsible for processing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for 1,000 employees, 200 of which are non-exempt hourly employees.
Responsibilities:
Enter payroll data into databases
Check timesheets for accuracy
Assist employees having issues accessing their timesheets
Follow up with employees and manager on incomplete timesheets
Assist with training new managers and supervisors on timesheet approval process
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and supervisors
Collaborate and partner with HR on payroll related matters
Review Personal Action Notifications (PANs) to verify correct entry and verify proper approvals
Calculates adjustments for back pay, missed or over deductions, special adjustments and/or reversals
Process regular payroll from start to finish
Process Equity/Stock Payrolls
Process out of systems checks
Assist with ad hoc reports and projects as needed
Assist with garnishment calculation and input to payroll system
Maintain state and local tax profiles
Assist in analyzing payroll and benefits related accounts for unusual trends to ensure accurate reporting.
Maintain SOX Compliance
Qualifications:
2-3+ years of full cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience
Prior processing experience for 1000+ employees, minimum 200 non-exempt hourly employees
Experience in a publicly traded company
Stock equity payroll experience- RSU, PSU, ESPP (preferred)
Experience with ADP Workforce Now required
Excel- pivot tables, vlookups
