This position is responsible for auditing payroll reports, running and distributing reports, balancing account reconciliations, issuing off-cycle payments, training of new procedures and/or new Specialists, updating internal communication documents, processing unclaimed property and various other tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Reporting and Processing
• Analyze, audit and distribute various payroll reports
• Process google eforms and payroll edits
• Maintain a high accuracy level
• Process corrections to pay and miscellaneous changes
• Audit taxation, update benefit transactions, process unclaimed property, validate payroll transactions for completeness and accuracy, make corrections as needed
Build and Maintain Business Partnerships
• Respond to inquiries timely and professionally
• Work closely with Payroll management team and internal/external business partners maintaining positive business working relationship
• Research and recommend alternative solutions to problems
• Interact and communicate effectively and proactively
Provide Support to Various Areas of the Department
• Issue off-cycle payments based on compliance and company standards
• Assist with tax analysis and lead team training sessions
• Balance various account reconciliations
• Assist with testing on new initiatives and additional functionality in Workday semi- annual releases.
Training and Development
• Support and encourage department development
• Multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively
• Organize and oversee training of new Specialists
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Excellent math, written and verbal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks easily
• Ability to oversee teams and team tasks in a fast pace, high volume environment
Preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Payroll
• Continued education or payroll certificate is a plus
