Basic Job Functions:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing best practices and establishing plans for continuous improvement within the division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and a wide range of payroll support to our teammates, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of the payroll data. The role of the Payroll Coordinator includes but is not limited to: weekly processing of all payroll activities and the preparation, filing, and reconciliation of quarterly/annual federal and state tax returns. This includes month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, preparing W-2s and preparation/submission of weekly and monthly reports to our Accounting team. Other responsibilities include assisting in the administration of various company sponsored programs/projects such as service awards, scholarships, educational reimbursement, and other projects as they arise. This role will also be assisting with managing several aspects of the HR function including but not limited to; recruitment, selection and onboarding, legal/compliance, policy administration, benefits administration, corporate and government reporting, training administration, and other tasks assigned by the Controller. This position will need to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
Associates degree or 1 or more years of prior HR related experience/training
1+ year of experience processing payroll
Per Personnel Policy #21, must not be related to any employee of Vulcraft South Carolina
Prior experience preparing, filing and reconciling Federal and State Payroll Tax Returns

Preferences:
Strong understanding of payroll tax and financial reporting
HR or Payroll Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with SAP
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
