Payroll and Labor Specialist- Remote
Position Description
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
The CGI Federal labor department is a knowledgeable, high-achieving, experienced and fun team. This position is fully remote allowing for a great work life balance.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Support the weekly labor processes for 7000 employees including, but not limited to weekly timesheet and leave processing, research and troubleshooting, weekly correction processing and labor reconciliations (this will require working 1 Friday night monthly to process the weekly labor)
Calculate, research/resolve complex labor issues
Support the establishment and implementation of policies, procedures, work standards and controls
Resolve issues related to the labor or leave process in collaboration with the different parties involved (Employees, Finance, Project Set-up, IT/Business Systems Admin)
Educate/train the various stakeholders on methodologies and tools used
Ensure compliance with company policies and processes, government regulations and accounting principles
Work on ad hoc projects required by the department
Assist labor manager and labor lead as needed
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
2-3 years of experience in working with Deltek CostPoint and/or Time Collection
Knowledge and understanding of Government Contracting
Familiar with multi-state payroll processing laws and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to use initiative, identify issues and provide recommendations for resolution
Desired
General understanding of DCAA and SOX Labor compliance
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000-$85,000.
