Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to assist in processing U.S. payroll, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll operations (end to end), with expertise in ADP systems and a strong knowledge of SOX compliance. This role is critical in ensuring that our employees are paid accurately and on time, and that our payroll processes align with regulatory requirements.
Short Description
Responsible for preparing, processing, and reviewing weekly, bi-weekly, and off cycle payroll runs for a growing company for full-time, part-time, and union employees. (Approximately 6000+ employees). Ensuring accurate and timely processing.
Review payroll calculations to ensure accuracy and provide payroll reports, checklists, and audits to Payroll Manager for final review and signoff.
Research, evaluate and ensure that payroll issues and discrepancies are resolved in a proper and timely manner; and maintain and update in the Payroll System.
Participate in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports related to payroll, employee information, time sheets, benefits, salaries, leave, taxes, deductions, and payments.
Review, reconcile and audit payroll according to internal controls, compliance, and SOX; identify programming errors and collaborate with IT/Payroll Vendor to fix errors for accurate payroll processing.
Participate in complex payroll support functions; calculate, review, verify and post a variety of complex payroll data such as gross pay, retirement, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, tax information and leave; balance, reconcile and submit payrolls for check processing; input of new hires and enrollment/separations.
Assist with auditing (internal/external), record-keeping and reporting functions to ensure proper application, calculation and reporting of payroll data, benefits and taxes; Assist with setting up wage codes in the payroll system and collaborate with finance to align.
Communicate and collaborate with internal departments, vendors and external agencies to exchange information as needed.
Prepares a variety of payroll documents such as, but not limited to, edits and manual payments, hourly payrolls, federal withholding forms, retirement forms, adjustments, etc.
Audits time sheets to verify hours, rate of pay, and calculates balances of items such as sick leave, vacation, and personal leave, and ensures deductions are made accordingly.
Assist in reviewing yearly W-2 forms and quarterly audits.
Answers questions or concerns from employees requiring explanation of calculations, rules and regulations governing payroll processing. Provides employees with necessary forms and assists employees with questions regarding payroll procedures, and voluntary deductions. Assists employees with miscellaneous questions and request.
Attends meetings as directed.
Participates and assists with any implementations of a new payroll system and/or time and attendance tool and performs related tasks as necessary.
Provides general ledger and any other reporting necessary to the finance and accounting departments.
Learns and applies emerging technologies to perform duties in an efficient, organized, and timely manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local government regulations.
What your background should look like:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent payroll experience (5-7 years)
Must have end to end payroll experience.
Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office. (Expert in excel is a plus)
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Canada payroll processing experience a plus
Bilingual: English/Spanish is a plus

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $74,720 – $112,080 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
