  About this role:

  Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to join Payments Operations. Within the COO, the Payment Operations team includes core payment operations functions for each of the lines of business under leaders who have joint reporting relationships. Including Front Line Control for each of the lines of business and enterprise functions. The Payments Operations Control team is responsible for partnering with the relevant business group to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures associated with their activities and operations.

  In this role, you will:Support Payment Operations Control leadership in ensuring effective front line risk identification, measurement, monitoring, controls and mitigation, with a focus on business initiatives and testingEngage in projects, initiatives and governance forums that monitor, identify and enhance systemic controlsIdentify and assess risks in collaboration with the businessPromote/design and enhance existing controls in partnership with business owners and process engineers, including effectiveness measures, implementation support, validation of effectiveness post-implementation and controls evaluation based on defined triggersProvide ongoing monitoring and assessment of the operating/control environment, including business environment changes and technology changes and enhancementsPromote a strong risk culture.Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impactAct as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional areaMonitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategiesMonitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional areaDevelop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controlsCollaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategiesLead Control Management project or virtual teamsRequired Qualifications, US:5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Strong risk management and control identification skillsExperience working in or closely with the payment initiation or operations lines of business (or external equivalents) sufficient to demonstrate a working knowledge of payment products/services, key processes/systems, and organizational structureKnowledge and understanding of financial services industry: control, technology, compliance, risk management, or audit operations Direct experience executing the Risk and Control Self-Assessment or control testing. Experience analyzing business and/or systems changes to determine impactExperience with change Management or transformation management.Knowledge of issue management processExperience working with changing priorities and deadlinesAbility to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problemsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interact with all levels of an organizationJob Expectations:Hybrid work schedule.
