Brief Descriptionof Job Responsibilities: Greets, instructs, directs and schedulespatients and visitors in an engaging and positive manner. Serves as aliaison between patient and medical staff. Makes a positive firstimpression on any person utilizing Prevea Health services, whether onthe phone or in person. Major Responsibilities: * Coordinatecommunication between patients, family members, medical staff, providersand administrative staff-via phone, in person, or through MyPrevea. *Direct patient inquiries or complaints to appropriate parties. * Assistpatient or caller in directing medical concerns; receive and routemessages to appropriate staff. * Obtain and confirm accuratedemographic and insurance/coverage information. * Schedule and confirmpatient appointments. * Assist patient or caller with financialquestions regarding policies, insurances, payments or other financialneeds. * Attend meetings as required and follow the policies andprocedures of the organization. Specialized Requirements: * Handle cashin accordance with Prevea policies and procedures. * Appropriatelycollect required payments, including co-payments, outstanding balances,and payments due prior to services being rendered in accordance withPrevea policies and procedures. * Provide error-free and accurate dailybatch and/or deposits to appropriate staff for processing. * Completeall work tasks in accordance with privacy, compliance and HIPAA laws. *Perform patient screening duties as determined is necessary for aspecific department and/or site.
