Overview
As a Patient Ambassador at CHI St Vincent, you are often the first person that our patients and guests see when they walk through our doors. Your welcoming smile and calming presence puts our guests at ease. Visits to the hospital can sometimes be stressful, but you understand that each person deserves your kindness and careful attention. You are an excellent communicator with strong emotional intelligence. You are the eyes and ears of our healthcare teams and you are often on the front lines of information sharing. In this role, you are often the conduit between our patients, their families, and our care teams.
CHI St Vincent Infirmary is a 600 bed faith-based, non-profit, acute care facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. Our level II trauma center is a regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, behavioral health, cancer care, neurosciences, and other specialties. We have been consistently named by US News & World Report as one of the State’s best hospitals, with high performance in heart care, colorectal surgery, and joint replacement.
Responsibilities
Create a warm, welcoming environment for visitors and guests
Model excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and professional abilites when interacting with guests
Direct, guide, and sometimes transport patients and visitors to various locations within the hospital
Explain hospital practices and protocols
Proactively seek ways to create a positive experience for patients and guests
Qualifications
High school diploma, or GED required
Must excellent communication skills
Computer skills are necessary - Must be able to use a variety of web based programs
Experience in a medical/clinical environment strongly preferred
Associates or Bachelors degree Preferred
Pay Range
$15.00 - $18.00/hour
