We are seeking laboratory professionals to work in our state-of-the-art Anatomic Pathology laboratory located in Cincinnati, OH. This position works alongside the technical staff and will be assisting in the processing of histology samples. With the proper educational background and routine histology training you are eligible to pursue a technical position in the lab providing a career path within LabCorp.
The work schedule for this position is: Monday - Friday (10pm-6:30am)
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalentAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Science is a plusExperience in a medical or clinical laboratory strongly preferredPrior experience with histological/pathological samples is a plusComfortability handling biological specimens Ability to accurately identify specimens Experience working in a team environment Strong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailProficient in MS Office Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Able to pass a standardized color-blind test
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing including tissue and needle aspiratesUnpack and route specimen to their respective staging areasAccurately identify and label specimens Loading and unloading staining instrumentationMatching tissue slides and blocks to requisitionsReplenishing staining reagents as neededScanning requisitions into lab and filing away tissue blocksAssist with procedures at the hospital locationsProcess all necessary paperwork to process and submit specimensPerform audits in order to resolve any outstanding issuesOvertime as needed based on department demand
