  Your Opportunity

  We provide our clients a full range of geospatial, surveying and mapping services. Through our work, we define land boundaries and analyze spatial data.

  You will work with direct supervision and general direction on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor. You will perform field and office surveying, mapping, and related tasks.

  Your Key Responsibilities

  Perform field surveying services to support boundary, construction, topographic surveys, and other efforts.

  Research survey records and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed and coordinates findings with the work of engineers, clients and others involved in projects.

  Assist in reviewing and processing the results of field surveys, including control, boundary, and topographic locations.

  Produce basic CAD drawings on assigned projects.

  Verifies the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

  Prepares data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.

  Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.

  Maintain vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded correctly.

  Will be required to drive company and/or personal vehicle to reach jobsites.

  Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Your Capabilities and Credentials

  Working knowledge of field survey methods and calculations.

  Working knowledge of local survey laws, rules, and regulations.

  Strong understanding of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations.

  Good cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team.

  Good math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.

  Working knowledge of CAD and relevant software programs including AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, and/or related software.

  FAA Part 107 Pilot Licensing a plus

  3D laser scanning experience a plus

  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.

  Education and Experience

  Minimum of 2 years of experience. Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field is preferred but not required.

  Position will require field work with some office work. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

  Salary Range(s):

  $24.23 - $33.89 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HIThe final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

  Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

  The benefits information listed above may not apply to union positions because benefits for such positions are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreements.
