During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2023-24 academicyear, the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of RomanceLanguages & Literatures may have part-time teaching opportunities invarious courses of the Italian Language curriculum.
Minimum qualifications are a master\'s degree or equivalent in Italianor a related field, superior proficiency in Italian according to ACTFLguidelines, and at least one year of experience teaching Italian at thecollege or post-secondary level. Preference will be given to applicantswith a Ph.D. or equivalent in Italian and/or an advanced degree insecond language pedagogy/acquisition.
Responsibilities will include preparing and teaching seminar-stylelanguage courses using a highly interactive communicative approach,holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparing and gradingof assignments and testing materials.
Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successfulcandidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In2023-24, the minimum per-course salary is \$7,538. This position is notbenefits eligible.
