We are looking for a Partner Operations Senior Manager who will be focused on the Payments and Payroll verticals to help us drive long-term scalability by working to optimize partnerships to power seamless financial services products for small businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical toolkit, and ability to seamlessly translate insights into action plans to drive optimization of partnerships. This person has experience collaborating with external partners to drive results. This person will excel in cross-team collaboration with Finance, Product, Go-to-Market, Legal and Compliance. The Money Platform is underpinned by partnerships with institutional partners, capital providers and banks, so optimizing these relationships is critical to our success.
This role can be remote. This position will report to the Partner Strategy and SuccessTeam Lead, QuickBooks Money Team.
What you'll bring
2+ years of deal negotiation experience, with a strong technical understanding of the B2B Fintech space
Experience and ability to clearly articulate your direct impact within a deal lifecycle: planning, terms negotiation, contract drafting, and implementation.
Experience in at least one of the following industries: FinTech, consulting firm or investment bank; as well as direct experience in a client services role (partner management, customer success management, consulting)
Experience managing a team of dedicated product operations analysts
Working experience and strong interest in, financial services, particularly payments and money movement greatly preferred.
Ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to simply lay out the conclusions and reasons for each decision
Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; strong ability to work across all key functions (risk, product development, design, marketing, compliance, legal); “win-together mentality”
Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments
Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, tecnical and non-technical
Executive presence in working with senior leadership internally and within partner organizations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MBA a plus.
How you will lead
This role has 3 key pillars of responsibilities, which build upon each other:
Partner Operations
Supervise and manage Operational team members against their operational oversight goals, which includes monitoring daily files, working with product teams to remediate back end issues,
Partner Optimization
Manage Monthly and Quarterly business reviews by aligning agendas and crafting materials with internal and external stakeholders
Align with broader team for Quarterly Partnerships reviews with Senior Leadership Team members
Partner Strategy
Establish hypotheses for optimizing existing partnerships to drive revenue increase and cost reduction; lead negotiations to drive implementation of those solutions
Drive diagnostic reviews to assess opportunities with our existing partnerships, particularly in the Payments and Payroll (Money Movement) verticals
Drive strategic renewals and extensions of current engagements
Be an expert in Payments and Money Movement segments; establishing a POV on innovations in money movement rails stack to inform platform strategy and optimization
Build trusted relationships with Partners, as well as internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Product, Product Marketing, Capital Markets, Operations)
