Bring along your passion and join our Growth Partnerships team to do your life's best work .(sm) In this role as Partner Manager, you serve as the primary contact for multiple channel partners for our Optum Insight business.
The Partner Manager builds/maintains and expands relationships with the partner’s leadership team and the partner’s stakeholders utilizing Optum solutions. You’ll serve as the partners’ primary contact, overseeing the delivery of products and services to, or through, the partnership. As these accounts are sales channels, you’ll work with each of your partners to get as many of their customers using our products as possible, requiring collaboration across departments with the partner and internally. You’ll work closely with sales to determine how we can expand and grow the partnership with additional solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
Builds an effective partner account plan that addresses partner’s business needs (current and emerging), supports growth, provides measurable value, and increases partner engagement/loyalty. Partner with sales on new growth opportunities through a deep understanding of partner’s business goals
Develop and refine partner strategy by participating in due diligence, scoping, and design sessions with the partner formally and informally, and to continually identify needs of partner
Act as a partner advocate and proactively partner with and lead teams to exceed partner expectations
Actively participate in partner renewals identifying expansion opportunities, facilitating the contract changes and updates as needed
Establishes, cultivates and manages the customer relationship at multiple levels, (executive suite to solution owners) serving as a trusted business advisor/partner to the partner
Constantly assesses the value our solutions are delivering and leads team members to develop approaches that increase the value we provide and increase the impact Optum has on the partner’s business
Create value story consistent with the partner strategy. Present value of Optum solutions to various levels within the partner, including executives, decision makers and key influencers. This may include on-site or virtual meetings
Ensuring delivery to partner per contractual obligations. Ensure reporting of any performance guarantees. Negotiate contractual agreements, statements of work, and performance guarantees. Serve as liaison with contracting/legal/finance
Oversee cross functional partner teams on the delivery of all services; works with the team to leverage internal resources to address performance issues (escalate as needed) to drive resolution
Ensures the realization of expected partner revenue through achieving renewal, revenue attainment and partnering with sales on growth initiatives
Key executive liaison between our partners and Optum BU leaders (shared with CE)
Responsible for business process management and entry of timely updates to CRM System (SF.com), including but not limited to partner planning, opportunity management, contact management, current solution footprint, etc
Responsible for partner Loyalty Survey identification/administration including identification of contacts to be surveyed, pre-survey outreach, post-survey follow-up, driving action plans based on individual and partner survey feedback, and ongoing maintenance of information into SF.com and SatMetrix
Ensure partner Satisfaction and partner willingness to serve as a reference

Undergraduate degree equates to 4-8 years of work experience.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working with all levels of leadership including senior-level c-suite executives and demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility for partner relationship management and consultation
4+ years of equivalent experience
Solid financial acumen and experience with experience analyzing financial information and determining forecasts
Experience managing large or complex partner relationships
Proven negotiation/influence, collaboration, and listening skills
Proven ability to consult with partners to meet their business objectives
Demonstrated ability to message, position, and present information for maximum customer impact and influence
Ability to effectively navigate and drive results in a highly complex, matrix environment
Reside in the USA
Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with onsite partners and attend annual events

Experience with complex solutions or partnerships
