We are excited to be partnering with a well-established, women-owned law firm in South Minneapolis that specializes in representing clients in medical malpractice cases. This firm has built a strong reputation over the years for addressing the complex needs of individuals, particularly women and children, who have been impacted by medical malpractice. They have a proven track record of securing significant verdicts and settlements, including some of the largest in the state’s history.
Position Overview:
The firm is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join their team. In this role, you will provide vital support across all phases of medical malpractice litigation, from case management and discovery to trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have prior civil litigation experience and be eager to contribute to the success of a small, collaborative legal team. 1 day/week remote after training.
Responsibilities:
Assist in all phases of medical malpractice litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and document requests.
Review, proofread, and organize legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
Coordinate case filings, deadlines, and trial logistics.
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, attorneys, and medical experts.
Support attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial.
Requirements
3-5+ years of transferable civil litigation experience (PI, Mass Tort, Product Liability, etc.).
Strong experience with trial preparation and discovery (interrogatories, document management, etc.).
Paralegal or LAA background (if LAA, must have performed some paralegal duties).
Exceptional attention to detail with strong writing and proofreading skills.
Team-oriented, with a preference for working in a smaller environment.
