Thisrole will drive firm-wide strategic direction and management ofrecruiting, onboarding, integration, training and development,performance management and compensation, utilization, and workallocation for the firm\'s paraprofessional team. ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains a firmwide paraprofessional program that includesall three law departments with a focus on ensuring superior internal andexternal client support. Analyzes existing paraprofessional programs andstaffing structures; recommends and implements changes as necessary.Introduces strategic and innovative approaches to process improvementfocusing on overall operation of the paraprofessional team with a focustoward client service. Continuously reviews and enhances policies,processes, and procedures. Develops robust hiring criteria anddevelopment and advancement frameworks, driving consistency across thelaw departments where possible. Collaborates with Human Resources asnecessary. Supports the professional development of paraprofessionalsthrough the implementation of consistent onboarding and integrationinitiatives, and a variety of on-going training programs and knowledgemanagement resources beyond required CLE, collaborating with theProfessional Development team as necessary. Proactively addressesattorney and client paraprofessional support needs and creates workflowcoverage plans. Monitors utilization and realization of allparaprofessionals and works with paralegal managers and attorneys toadjust resources as appropriate. Work with Department Operating Officersto align capacity with demand. Collaborates with legal departments andaccounting & finance on paraprofessional billing rates. Prepares,monitors, and oversees budgeting for paraprofessional program includingsalaries, bonuses, overtime, and administrative spend. Buildsrelationships with paraprofessional team as well as firm leaders andother attorneys and business professional stakeholders across the firmto accomplish responsibilities and goals.
