Description
Candidates with an interest in the legal field will be interested in this opportunity for an innovative Estate Planning Paralegal. There is an immediate opening for a highly organized and efficient Paralegal at this small, but well known firm.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the estate planning and trusts team.
Assist in creating, revising, and reviewing legal documents pertaining to trusts, wills, and estate planning.
Manage all probate processes from start to finish.
Assist in handling the administration of estates and trusts.
Carry out the legal research on estate planning and trusts, synthesizing complex or diverse information.
Ensure all client information is kept confidential and secure.
Collaborate with attorneys on business and complex estate tax returns.
Maintain up-to-date records of all estate planning documents.
Regularly meet and communicate with clients, probate clerks, court personnel, or other attorneys.
Provide guidance and respond to client inquiries regarding estate planning processes and documentation.
Requirements
Paralegal Certificate from an approved ABA program or a degree in Paralegal Studies.
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a paralegal with an emphasis on estate planning.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Detailed knowledge of probate processes and estate planning laws.
Experience with drafting and creating trust documents (required)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Highly organized with a keen eye for details.
High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidential information.
Knowledge of legal research, document drafting, and case management software is a plus.
