Paint Technician

　　About the role:

　　WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Paint Technician to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible for all processes related to preparing and painting industrial gearboxes and motors.

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Mask, clean, and prepare industrial gearboxes and electric motors for painting.

　　Hang product on paint racks or overhead conveyors in a safe and appropriate maner.

　　Mix paints and primers following correct procedures for each type, prepare painting guns and equipment.

　　Paint product with a professional looking finish.

　　Stage painted product in an appropriate method to allow proper drying before packing.

　　Some assitance with packing of product for shipping will be required.

　　Other duties and tasks as assigned.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma or GED preferred.Knowledge / training:

　　Moderate knowledge of industrial liquid paint booth equipment operation.

　　Moderate knowledge of paint preparation procedures.

　　Basic knowledge of forklift operation (on site certification will be required).

　　Basic knowledge of packing and crating of products both corrugated and wooden cartons.

　　Moderate knowledge and ability to use manual and power tools.

　　Moderate understanding of paint booth safety procedures.

　　Basic understanding of and ability to follow company safety procedures.

　　Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures perferred.

　　Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred.

　　Experience:

　　1 - 2 years in an industrial or automotive painting environment preferred.About WEG Electric Corp.
