Banquet Sales Manager Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV)
Description:
Summary:
Responsible for the day to day operation and direct supervision of all activities within the Banquet department. Ensure daily operations and experiences meet guest expectations. Appropriately respond to and manage any escalated departmental concerns and guest and/or team member challenges.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule department staff
Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement
Monitor and control labor within the department while maintaining adequate coverage in the department based on business demands
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Manage day to day operations of the banquet facility and all aspects of sales including initial contact, relationship building, creating proposals and event orders.
Manage Banquet Calendar as well as banquet event orders for internal distribution.
Construct menus develop floor plans and arrange guest site inspections.
Communicate and work closely with other operational departments to ensure smooth execution of all events including conducting Banquet Event meetings with the Executive Chef and pre shift meetings with the team members.
Maintain records for inventory, labor cost, food cost etc.
Maintain accurate client files, including billing
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Three years in catering and banquet sales
Previous experience working in a team or group environment and able to interact with others in a professional and courteous manner
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Working knowledge of general computer programs, including the MSWord and Excel
Must be at least 21 years of age
2 years of college preferred
Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
Able to accurately perform intermediate math
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements
Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75 pounds
Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
