What You Will Achieve
Your expertise in the manufacturing domain will help Pfizer with the operations required for the assembly and packaging of finished goods. You will manage product finishing scheduling, setting up, operating, maintaining, and adjusting processes or packaging equipment.
Your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will recommend which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations. You will be relied upon to maximize quality and efficiency; completing batch records and associated documentation, and working in an integrated computerized manufacturing environment.

How You Will Achieve It

ROLE SUMMARY
Perform all manual packaging and inspection duties as required by operating unitOperate selected packaging equipment.Assist or perform setup of selected equipment with guidance from leadership.Perform line clearances and cleaning.Perform necessary process checks including but not limited to package checks, hourly audits, etc.Perform equipment and facility compliance assessments.Monitors packaging output checks product quality and makes adjustment to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.Performs all necessary SAP/PEPS entries.Changeover all production lines.Conducts label lot changeovers.Verifies that the line is clean and cleared prior to starting the production order.Responsible for accuracy of batch related documentationTroubleshoot selected equipment.Ensures equipment is operational when returned after maintenance - ensures maintenance log is completed and accurate.Provides support to Operational Specialist and Process Engineer for new materials and equipment.Performs Operator Care functions.Able to gown and work in all unclassified areas.Demonstrates floor leadership abilities.Work in a safe manner and report all potential safety issues to leadership in a timely manner.Perform all tasks in strict compliance with operating procedures, best practices and regulatory requirements.Dependable - Follows unit / area / plant requirements and guidelinesWilling to assist other production units in order to meet unit / site goalsMaintain training at or above 95%Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of the Kalamazoo Site objectivesSign-off and observe safe work permits

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Basic administrative and/or standardized, semi-skilled work routines; operation of complex technical and/or mechanical tools and equipment. Demonstrated interpersonal leadership and accountability in day-to-day interactions with an operational focus on customer needs and process requirements is required. Considerable demonstrated skills in communicating (oral and written) effectively with diverse individuals/groups; facilitating trust and understanding; and developing, influencing and managing work, employee and customer relationships.Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting up to 42 pounds. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required.This position requires the manual inspection of products. The successful candidate must be able to perform manual, repetitive-motion tasks.

The salary for this position ranges from $23.14 to $38.57 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
