Responsibilities:
OTD Management:
Main responsible person for OTD (Importation & Logistics ) timing in GM, manage the vehicle delivery within the allowable time slot by:
Oversee the “end to end” OTD process (Port-warehouse-customs-transportation-delivery center), keep optimizing process in daily operation to reduce the delivery time and improve efficiency
Set a clear KPI target for each business chain in the whole process and evaluate the performance timely.Main responsible person for OTD quality in GM, manage the vehicle quality to meet GM delivery standard.Manage the people and resources for the OTD related business, including custom service/warehousing operation/logistic/storage/vehicle prep. Etc.Set a governance mechanism to solve issues regarding OTD timing & quality, be part of the decision maker, escalate issue as needed.
Capacity & budget planning:
Make capacity forecast based on operation resources and experience, forecast risks and make action plans.
Make peak volume countermeasures.
Collaborate with Order team to arrange on priority orders and action plans.
Make OTD related budget & other resource plan yearly.
Report and communication:
Key window person to connect with GMHQ functions including sales/quality/engineering etc.
Support internal & external audit.
Make trainings & meetings arrangements per business needs
Summarize business/operation status and report to GMHQ regularly
Support global business communication & discussion as needed
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
8+ years’ vehicle OTD management or supplier chain management experience, on import programs will be a plus
Strong cross function collaboration experience, work with both local and global program team to oversee vehicle OTD performance, identify and address roadblocks to ensure the OTD performance on track and keep continuous improvement.
Basic knowledge of Import Type Approval process, in-bound/out-bound logistic, vehicle maintenance & repair and vehicle distribution
Fluent in English and Mandarin oral and written
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects / programs
Excellent project management and negotiation skills, details-oriented and well organized
Passion for understanding the customer needs and delivering an exceptional customer experience
Affinity to facilitate problem solving & collaboration
Experience in establishing effective partnerships within and outside of the organization
Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
