Overview
Deutsche Bank's O&A business aims to build long-term, trusted, and mutually beneficial relationships with the major corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors, and sovereigns around the world. Our businesses include investment banking coverage, Debt capital markets, equity capital markets, leveraged debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions. You will report to the O&A Strategic Initiatives Strats lead and have responsibility for providing strats leadership on several programs. The strategic initiatives team is a global, cross-divisional function within O&A tasked with shaping, managing, and delivering an interconnected portfolio of regulatory and strategic programs that are meant to ensure compliance with regulations and divisional execution plans. You will act as an innovative problem-solver who can employ technology and data science to solve complex business problems in an accurate, scalable, and robust manner.

What You'll Do
Delivery of management information reporting and key metric reviews to provide performance transparency and identify and resolve potential roadblocks efficiently
Providing strats expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing, and risk management with deep understanding of system architecture and programming
Participation and support in cross functional/geographical programs to support the ongoing continuous improvement of O&A in realizing its objectives to deliver first-rate client service
Designing and implementing user interface and streamline data integration to meet program milestones
Forming strong partnerships across business lines and infrastructure partners including Compliance, Audit, Operations, and Technology

Sets clear direction for the team in line with overall business strategy balancing both global and regional priorities; manages performance systemically by considering delivery, behavior and conduct in equal measure, setting and communicating clear role expectations and qualitative and quantitative priorities, promoting individual accountability and removing impediments to success; ensures team members have regular and meaningful performance and career development discussions giving and listening to feedback; holds direct reports accountable for systems, processes and control management practices which are efficient, cost-effective and in line with Bank standards and regulatory expectations; ensures team decision-making processes are timely and place precedence on long-term considerations and client needs over the short term
Builds capability for the future by prioritizing succession planning, continuous development of people and the mobility of high potentials within the team; brings diverse teams together to collaborate on topics to achieve optimal ideas and recommendations; creates an inclusive, open and speak up culture where team members are encouraged to express views and raise concerns; acts as an escalation channel ensuring matters are referred to the appropriate function within the Bank (i.e. Human Resources, Compliance, Anti Financial Crime, Legal)
Skills You'll Need
Extensive experience in investment banking/financial services, familiarity with loans and loan mechanics a plus
Strong quantitative, analytical, modelling, pricing, and risk management skills; UI design; programming experience - Python, R, MATLAB, C++, VBA, Java, JavaScript, et cetera
Ability to synthesize programming skills with financial modelling; strong skills in spreadsheet and presentations software (for example Tableau)

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $75K to $130K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
