Job Responsibilities
Analyzes customer problems of high complexity
Assesses scope of impact
Mitigates customer impact of issues and defines, reviews, and executes workarounds
Identifies options for problem resolution and initiates action
Engages others as appropriate and escalates as required
Provides advice or training to users about the application systems' functionality, correct operation or constraints, and corrects user faults
Liaises with various application development and content teams, customer service teams, and other software and hardware support teams.
Proactively monitors production and nonproduction environments and/or applications
Provides input for technical plans and solutions.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced members
Has in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline or area and provides subject matter expertise
Provides task directions to other analysts.
Conducts root cause analysis and correlation of other system and/or application problems of high complexity.
Works on medium to large, moderately complex projects/issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and disciplines.
Leads project planning sessions with team members where there are projects within the scope of the support team.
Manages multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
Prepares status updates for customer problems or projects.
Regularly communicates and shares knowledge with the rest of the team.
Performs actions aligned with defined standards
Desired Job Experience:
• Bachelors/Masters in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent work experience; Formal education in accounting/finance/Engineering is desired.
• Requires a minimum of 7 years of functional experience in key Oracle modules (AP, AR, G/L, Order Management, Purchasing, and Inventory) including requirements gathering, design, configuration, unit testing, and integration testing
• Experience with SQL, R12 Tables, views, and a basic understanding of pl/sql code.
• Experience with a full life cycle Oracle implementations
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 or Fusion required
• Strong analytical, design and documentation skills
• Oracle design, configuration and hands on experience
• Exposure to broad financial processes and systems experience across quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay business functions (billing, order management, accounts receivable, purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger.)
• Experience with standard financial processes and ability to overlay the process understanding onto multiple financial business systems packages.
• Previous experience working in a software company strongly desired
Other Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in interacting with management and communicating functional vision to both internal and external constituencies
• Strong customer-facing experience and skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, organizational and planning skills
• Strong desire to learn & highly self-motivated
• Exposure to other ERP or eCommerce systems is a plus
• Technical/ Oracle development experience (Foundation, SQL*Plus, System Administration) is a plus
• Previous work with Oracle R12 EBS Tax module is a plus
• Previous work with Oracle Fusion Applications and Fusion Tax is a plus
• Previous experience or knowledge of working with ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination/ Sabrix is a plus.
• Previous work with US Sales and Use tax is a plus.
• Self- starter who works well both independently and on a team
