Oracle ERP Product Owner
Description
Responsible for working with Agile Product Managers and other stakeholders across multiple cross-functional agile teams to drive the organization's mission, operations, structure, and goals. Streamlines the Product Backlog in support of business agility and product market trends while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the teams, and responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work in the product/agile team.
Identifies short and long-term business priorities using Lean Agile Thinking as well as business expertise and representing the voice of the customer; entrepreneur for products; connects both strategic and tactical objectives working with Product Managers; defines the archetypical users of products; articulates and prioritizes personas and their problems so that appropriate products or solutions can be built.
Seeks out and interviews customers for user experience feedback and market trends; illustrates market problems in a story that puts the problems in context.
Agile expertise in Lean/Agile leadership; drives the vision and Program backlog; defines key performance indicators and objectives and key results (OKRs); heavily involved in program backlog refinement, preparation for Program Increment planning, and participation in planning events; owns team backlog and implementation; accountable for effective product backlog management.
Leads Feature planning and prioritization for capabilities; applies Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to guide development, decrease rework, and increase flow; primary source for story detail and priorities in Iteration Planning, establishes story acceptance criteria.
Technical expertise in understanding the scope of enabler work; collaborates with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist decisions and sequencing of technology enablers.
Defines and explicitly communicates the Product Goal; creates, orders, and clearly communicates Product Backlog items apart from ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood.
Defines and drives iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories and Features; builds, edits, and maintains the Team Backlog of user stories, defects, and enablers; primary responsibility for maintaining the flow of just-in-time story elaboration; accepts user stories as done, including validation the story meets acceptance criteria, has appropriate acceptance tests, and complies with the Definition of Done (DoD).
Participates in the Iteration Retrospective and the Inspect & Adapt workshop.
Applies different approaches to convince others to change their opinion or plan, and wins support from others for ideas; is able to build support with peers without direct lines of reporting across a matrix organization.
Understands and works in line with the organization's mission, operations, structure, and goals; understands informal structures and processes of the organization; understands organization-level implications of his or her day-to-day decisions.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. SAFe® Product Owner/Agile Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Significant business and technical knowledge with practical experience of the Lean Methodology and it's principles and tools are preferred.
Significant experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
Previous experience as a Product Owner is preferred.

Proficiency with low-level ad-hoc query tools (Toad, SQLPlus) and a working knowledge SQL query
Gather and prioritize functional and technical requirements for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) projects. Liaise between business users and development teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.
Define and prioritize product backlog items, guiding both functional and technical aspects of EBS solutions.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to testing and deployment.
Stay informed about industry trends and EBS updates to provide recommendations for improvements.
Develop and maintain documentation, conduct user training, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Manage and prioritize competing demands to ensure timely project delivery.
Act as a subject matter expert, lead meetings, and foster a collaborative environment within the EBS team.
