This is a full-time position and requires a master's level degree in optical engineering, electrical engineering, or related degree and relevant experience. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic cross-functional team, and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Optical Test Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop/deploy/support testing and metrology methods, algorithms, and stations for display calibrationSource and qualify appropriate opto-mechanical components and instruments. Build and optimize image capture and calibration tools for fully automated system calibrationsSpecify test equipment and tools for optical measurements of components, sub-assemblies and systems in a fabrication facilityDrive vendors and partners to develop and optimize test methods, tools, and techniquesCollect and analyze data to validate, diagnose, and optimize approachesTravel within Asia for factory testing, 15% travel to US/EuropeMinimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in interdisciplinary field covering Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields5+ years experience working within consumer electronics industry5+ years experience building/deploying automated test equipment for mass production3+ years coding experience in MATLAB or Python3+ years experience testing display or camera systems5+ years experience with optical technologies including imaging, lighting and cameras5+ years experience with statistical data analysis methods and tools including GR&R, complex sensitivity and correlation studiesWell-developed presentation/communication skills including technical information analysis and project planningExperience building/driving/supporting MP builds of automated calibration and test equipmentBackground managing cross-functional partners and outside vendors, defining SOWs, R&RsDemonstrated experience successfully delivering full production-scale test systems at scalePreferred Qualifications:
