  The Currencies, Commodities and Derivatives Operations (CCDO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.

  Within CCDO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) Derivative confirmation and settlement, and Commodities operations.

  An exciting opportunity has arisen for an associate to join the Global Markets Core Operations Change team based in New York. The team supports the Global Markets Core Operations teams who manage the OTC Derivatives, FX and Commodities Confirmations and Settlements functions.

  This is a chance to join a dynamic, influential team with a background of delivering high profile, value-add solutions to an exceptional standard.

  The role offers the opportunity for an associate to grow their understanding of the wider Global Markets Core Operations group and broaden their business partner network as they engage on a varied range of objectives that the team are exposed to. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop a wide range of technical and soft skills whilst raising your profile across multiple areas.

  Responsibilities:

  Collaborating with a wide variety of Operational and Technology stakeholders in order to drive and implement change.Interrogating components of Over-The-Counter Derivatives Operational processes (Confirmations and Settlement) in order to identify opportunities for improvement.Driving the implementation of the opportunities for improvement in Post Trading Operational functions like Confirmation, Settlement, Trade Control.Applying an entrepreneurial & innovative mindset and setting the standard as a culture carrier for the organization.Actively seeking new opportunities for change/improvements by analyzing, challenging and remediating processes, controls and behaviors relating to the CCDO Confirmations and Settlement processes.Driving market-wide projects which have captured the focus of senior management.Actively influencing changes in client behavior leading to a reduction in risk and cost and increase in efficiency.Providing functional support to users across multiple asset classes, helping set best practices and reinforce process standards.

  Required Skills:

  Experience in Global Financial Market OperationsData Analytics - Comfortable analyzing and drawing conclusion from large data setsProcess analysis and re-design experience in order to drive efficiencies and process improvementProject/program lifecycle experience: analysis, planning and executionHas a growth mindset; asks questions and constantly looks for improvement both individual and for the OrganizationLoves to turn original ideas into something tangible; flourishes in identifying and acting on possibilitiesEnergized to figure out how technology can be used to evolve the way we operate; curious about how things workViews data as the best, and sometimes, only way to figure out business solutionsConfident when tasked with analyzing dataEnjoys developing theories, thinking & debating abstract ideasThrives on dealing with people and collaborating to produce resultsFlourishes in communication, whether written or spoken; loves to express ideas & to persuade others

  Desired Skills:

  Over-The-Counter Derivatives operational experience and process familiarity (confirmations and settlements is a plus)Data analytics skills (e.g. Advanced Excel skills, Tableau, SQL)Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutionsExcels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forwardExperience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs - is a continuous learnerCommitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive changeParticipate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client baseBelieves in value of diversity so we can reflect, connect and meet the diverse needs of our clients and employees around the world

  Enterprise Role Overview:

  Subject matter expert with at least 3 year's experience in current role. Analyzes and resolves complex operational problems. Provides technical support to the team and consults on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines. Knows front to back process/system flow. Strong product and market knowledge. Acts as a lead on multiple projects/initiatives on behalf of the team. Drives process improvements. Acts s Go To person for the other team. Acts as Go To person for the manager, performing some routine management support (interviewing, training & support for team members). Develops and delivers training for the team. Understands client needs, escalates issues appropriately (timely and appropriately). Proactively identifies risk. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.
