Job Description:
This role is responsible for providing analytical support in a Global Markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. These individuals are responsible for the analysis and resolution of highly complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. They may manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes and coordinate necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products.
This role will support our Reference Data Services (RDS) group.
Who we are:
The Global Banking and Market (GBAM) Operations group is a centralized operations team supporting Global Markets, Global Wealth Investment Banking, Corporate Treasury, and Corporate Investments lines of business. GBAM Operations provides operational support to our clients and business partners day to day in the processing and settling of transactions through trade capture, allocating, confirming, and clearing trades. By maintaining a sound and structured control environment, GBAM Operations minimizes financial, reputational, and operational risks from occurring during the settlement of over $1 trillion in cash and securities each day.Global Reference Data Services (RDS) is an organization within GBAM Operations that manages the creation and maintenance of account level reference data, including standing settlement instructions, to facilitate the processing and settlement of trades across all global market product classifications. In addition the team receives, digitizes and reports on account level documentation in order to meet firm and client regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Confirms loan documentation for accurate trade settlementsPartners with Sales Associates, Traders, Research Analysts, trading counterparties, internal and external attorneys, administrative agent banks, and various other internal operations groupsManages post-trade management and logistics, settlement pricing and closing coordinationAnalyses and resolves highly complex operational problemsSupports ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiativesProcesses loans end-to-end with accurate data input into various credit and operating systemsThe RDS Operations Professional plays a fundamental and influential role in driving the execution of strategic change initiatives, enabling the team more time to focus on the client. In addition, the individual serves as a leader and escalation contact for the team. You will join a close-knit and industrious group of professionals where you will soon begin impacting the business and our clients by:Developing deep product and operational knowledge of account onboarding and maintenance across multiple products and jurisdictions within global markets for institutional clientsDelivering on strategic change commitments that will drive automation and self-service for account and SSI onboarding and maintenance requestsExploring methods to enhance processes, further reduce risks, and boost client satisfactionEngaging in cross-team collaboration and gaining exposure to diverse product linesResearching and resolving key business and risk problems while partnering with legal, compliance, technology and operationsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external business partners in the US, UK, and AsiaProduct and Process lead for the teamEscalation management for the products coveredInfluence team members and business partners on process improvements and strategy of product as well as day to day BAU
