Work you'll do
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Transition SME to join our Ops Hardening team, with a focus on SysOps/DevOps. This role is crucial for ensuring the robustness and security of infrastructure transitions during the deployment and operations phases. As the Infrastructure Transition SME - Onshore, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the transition of infrastructure services with a specific emphasis on hardening operations. Collaborating closely with SysOps and DevOps teams, you will ensure the security, reliability, and optimal performance of infrastructure during and after the transition process.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive transition plans with a strong emphasis on security measures during Ops Hardening.
Define and implement strategies to enhance security posture, resilience, and performance of infrastructure during transitions.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SysOps and DevOps methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to ensure seamless integration of security measures into infrastructure transitions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SysOps, DevOps, and security experts, to align transition plans with security objectives.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of security requirements and implementation strategies.
Identify potential security risks associated with infrastructure transitions and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to security in SysOps/DevOps environments.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of security measures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Generate regular reports on security assessments, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts.
Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing security and operational efficiency in SysOps/DevOps processes.
Collaborate with teams to implement improvements and drive continuous enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
6+ years with infrastructure transition projects, with a focus on SysOps/DevOps and security hardening
2+ years of experience with security principles, risk management, and compliance in cloud and on-premises environments
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Project management experience is a plus.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $118,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
