Leidos is seeking an Operations Specialist to work on the peer review program(s). The candidate will be responsible for carrying out day to day planning, securing and managing resources within a team environment to help successfully execute the production of Peer Review deliverables/services.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Application and invoice processing; consensus calls; assisting with onboarding of seasonal team members; day to day monitoring/scheduling for seasonal staff; assisting with on-line meetings using various platforms; working within tight timeframes to process customer deliverables, processing timesheets, interfacing with task and department leaders, subcontractors, and other support personnel; and other duties as assigned.
Required to work independently on moderately complex projects/assignments. May assist with multiple projects simultaneously, or assist other managers within the division with tasks and assignments.
Primary Responsibilities:
An Operations Specialist for Department of Justice (DOJ) Peer Review programs will serve as part of a team supporting peer review activities. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Coordinating and overseeing application processingTraining, monitoring productivity, providing quality control, and paneling and packing application packages and other meeting materials.Receiving, processing, tracking, and reporting compensation and expense reimbursements payments in compliance with federal and contractual guidelinesEngaging with subject matter experts about system updates, delays, and general information.Work with team to develop and initiate business process improvements with peer review practices, including application and invoice processing.Managing/uploading share point site contentParticipating in regular process improvement and quality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience. (If no Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.)General understanding of peer review practices and standards, project operations and/or a grants management type of environment.Demonstrated customer service in high volume, deadline driven environment.Experience with process improvement and quality assurance activities.Strong communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Flexibility; ability to manage shifting schedules and priorities.Strong computer, Microsoft office skills.Ability to obtain public trust designation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education and or experience in the criminal justice field or related discipline.Experience in Federal grants management / peer review process.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
