Manages a team or multiple teams in a global markets operations support function in one or more product areas. Manages operations functions that typically have a high level of regulatory risk, monetary exposure and loss potential due to transaction size and daily production windows, which can impact client relationships. Manages daily activities ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards and adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements. Develops and implements new processes and procedures to improve operating efficiency, timeliness and workflow coordination. May have responsibility for or provide input on budget/expense management, reporting and forecasting. Requires full working knowledge of global markets operations functions and specific products/services managed. Responsible for decisions related to staffing and employee development. Interacts with business partners and their support groups (Compliance, Audit, Finance, etc.), as well as external clients. Employees in this role typically have prior line management experience and/or have prior operations management experience in the specific functional/product area managed.
This role will directly support the US OTC Margin Management function and requires knowledge of non-cleared OTC collateral operations or middle office operations. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide comprehensive managerial and control oversight support of day-to-day margin call processes for the Americas. Other deliverables may include assigning analyst client coverage schedules, ensuring adherence to intraday operating controls are followed, direct or indirect management of associates, and ancillary initiative work geared toward developing and implementing innovative service solutions to meet clients' needs globally. Developing and using the latest technology, teams work to deliver industry-leading capabilities to our clients and customers, making it easy and convenient to do business with the firm.
Responsibilities:
Support margin call issuance and associated cash and security settlement workflowManaging client inquiries, meetings, operating issues as they ariseManaging operating escalations as needed Managing stakeholder engagement involving Audit and Regulatory related matters associated with the collateral functionSupporting internal communications such as: Providing updates to relevant Operations, Risk and Business partnersEnsuring key team members are engaged in remediation of critical operating control issues Metrics and Control reportingCoordinate and provide updates/commentary for monthly risk metrics to senior managementSupporting exception management with regard to systems reconciliation and margin-call settlements as well and representing exception remediation status to senior managerIdentify areas for improvement on client metrics or business metricsBusiness as usual managerial support and back-up
Required Skills:
College degree and related work experienceExperience in one or more of the following Financial markets across Fixed Income and Derivative products Financial markets documentation (ISDA CSA, GMRA, MRA, etc.) Data mining and analysis skills; proficient in Tableau and Microsoft ExcelStrong communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines and work autonomously Ability to handle high pressure situations Ability to juggle multiple tasks Organizational skills with emphasis on the ability to prioritize responsibilities Track record of working in detail oriented roles Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
