Job Description:
This role is responsible for providing analytical support in a Global Markets operations function for one or more operations product areas. These individuals are responsible for the analysis and resolution of highly complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. They may manage projects and/or the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes and coordinate necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and/or products.
Position will support the Global Accounting & Reconciliation Team within Global Operations Shared Operations. Functions include but are not limited to: oversight and approval of reconciliations and month end balance sheet attestation, managing tactical and strategic projects focused on improving the reconciliation space, implementing controls to reduce risk across the recon utility, and overall support of the operating model.
Responsibilities:
• Confirms loan documentation for accurate trade settlements
• Partners with Sales Associates, Traders, Research Analysts, trading counterparties, internal and external attorneys, administrative agent banks, and various other internal operations groups
• Manages post-trade management and logistics, settlement pricing and closing coordination
• Analyses and resolves highly complex operational problems
• Supports ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives
• Processes loans end-to-end with accurate data input into various credit and operating systems
• Serve as team lead and subject matter expert with oversight of BAU production work
• Lead continuous improvement across the AMRS reconciliation space including but not limited to:
• Initiatives involving automation and streamlining of processes to reduce time spend and improve the overall reconciliation process
• Deep dive analysis of reconciliation functions and overall process to identify issues and areas of improvement
• Operational Excellence initiatives related to the implementation of workflow and reconciliation tools aimed at streamlining daily recon production and break management workflows
• Participate in Recon Centralization work stream to identify and migrate in scope reconciliations within Global Banking and Markets Operations to the reconciliation utility
