Operations Manager
Division of Diagnostic Imaging
The primary purpose of this position is to manage the administration of people development and engagement programs for the academic Division of Diagnostic Imaging. This includes, but is not limited to human resources related functions such as oversight of faculty and staff recruitment, retention, compensation, performance, goal setting, talent management, productivity, recognition and morale, training and development in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. This position will support the division's survey response and wellness initiatives from the institution and division or departments.
Duties
· . Generate, interpret and communicate operational information about the division or departments within the division.
Develop and support HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the division and institution's strategic plan
Provide guidance to division leadership in the development of plans to improve workforce and career planning, employee retention and engagement, performance management and process improvement.
Oversee and help manage the recruitment of division staff and assist departments to stay on track with faculty and staff recruitment. Provide ideas for difficult to recruit for positions.
Create or assist managers to create learning and development programs that leverage the Education Center and the Leadership Institute that will provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Assist leaders with budgeting and financial management as it relates to positions, merit, equity, etc.
Be a resource for the division to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Develop, refine, and execute the divisional orientation and onboarding
Support current and future business needs through the overseeing the development and engagement of faculty and staff within the academic division.
Manage the goal setting process for the division and provide strategic oversight and guidance towards goals and compliance with institutional mandatory training
Support the annual performance appraisal system for faculty and staff through tracking and ensuring compliance with institutional expectations.
Oversee the staff development through coordination of the Communities of Practice. Provide input for specific development opportunities.
· Support survey response coordination to facilitate progress with divisional action planning in response to institutional surveys
Support faculty development programs within the division
Assist leaders within the division with institutional HR-related documentation - including accommodations paperwork, high level discipline
Maintain a position database for faculty and staff
REQUIREMENTS
Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field.
Required Experience : . Four years of experience in a professional/administrative capacity, to include two years experience in a supervisory capacity in any field. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred Experience: 3 years experience in academic medicine dealing with the management and administration of people resources.
Required Certification : None
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
