This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. The ideal skunk is an agile, multi-faceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II.

As an Operations Manager you will lead a high performance Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team that works directly with the customer to provide worldwide operational capabilities. This position is a primary interface with the customer on driving requirements into capabilities and to further grow the business by finding solutions to customer needs. Lead a diverse team including pilots, engineers, technicians, and security personnel to sustain operations, adapt to a globally changing environment, and introduce new technologies to the customer. Manages total customer budget including directing all home based support elements, such as engineering, operations, and sustainment. Overseas operations of remote teams. Must have a broad understanding of O&M disciplines, successful track record of operational experience, exemplary leadership/management skills and outstanding organizational and communications skills. Candidate will provide day to day guidance and direction to team personnel at home base and abroad. Must be proactive, diplomatic and utilize sound judgment at all times. Must establish and preserve a credible relationship with company and customer personnel. Must be flexible, open minded and work well under pressure. Must monitor and ensure performance of all disciplines to contractual requirements. Must adapt to diverse customer personalities to ensure satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications:
• Management Experience
• Experience leading teams or organizations within the aviation industry
• Experience in cross-collaboration with multiple departments
• Experience with such programs/items as: Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Information Systems Management, Ground Stations, Training, Safety and Security.
• Active Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• At least 3 years of management experience
• Experience working with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements
• Experience with planning and schedules
• Experience with customer interface
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience resolving conflicts and providing technical direction

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
