  Your next challenge will be…

  Lead a team of professionals in managing customer interface and engineering projects relating to product development, production and performance optimisation, within the Storage/Consumer/Industrial and Medical Device segment. This position will report to the Site General Manager.

  Your day- to-day activities will include…

  General

  Oversees all Product engineering related activities for both within Storage/Consumer/Industrial and medical device automated production.

  Manages the primary interface with Customers in supporting Product performance and the evolution of Product development.

  Manages a team of professionals providing expertise in engineering operations in support of automated and manual production within business units.

  New Business and NPI

  Leads development of new business opportunities with current and potential Customers.

  Holds accountability for the overall NPI process and ensures smooth transition from prototype to production.

  Tracks the execution of the projects under development including technical issues, project budgets, and business issues.

  Performance

  Leads engineering analysis of under-performing production units or sub- assemblies. Develops solutions based upon existing knowledge, and leveraging industry and other sites capabilities.

  Evaluates results of manufacturing, test, and quality assurance processes for product.

  Ensures accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.

  Collaborates with internal operations teams and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.

  Leads and provides guidance to extended Process and Quality engineering team regarding product application in field deployment.

  Continuous Improvement

  Holds responsibility for continuous improvement strategies within the Engineering department; this includes Engineering systems and Engineering standards to ensure the both project delivery and project design are continually improving.Leadership

  Manages internal and external resource levels to ensure project delivery capability in the most effective manner.

  Responsible for employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition within the Engineering Team.

  Initiates the research and evaluation of new technology and processes.

  What do we expect from you?

  8-10 years’ experience in a Senior Engineering role with 2+ year’s at management level.

  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  Experience in multinational, manufacturing environment.

  Experience of high volume, automated manufacturing processes.

  Experience in medical device manufacturing processes.

  Project Management experience and associated qualification.

  Experience in New Product Introduction.

  Experience in Continuous Improvement.

  Excellent motivational / interpersonal skills.

  Excellent customer management skills.

  Knowledge of customer and FDA regulatory requirements in line with business needs.

  What are we looking for?

  In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment, within Consumer and Medical Device industry.

  In-depth knowledge of quality improvement practices and techniques.

  Working knowledge of industrial digital printing and the requirements of OEM manufactures in the design and integration of digital printing technologies solutions that meet current market requirements.

  Provide primary technical and quality management support to systemic customer quality issues, the management of customer reaction and containment teams with a digital industrial printing environment.

  Ability to plan for and coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.

  Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

  Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, coach and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.

  Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem resolution and project management skills.

  Strong analytical and statistical skills.

  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customer
