The Reuters Operations team is the backbone of Reuters news management. The global team provides critical support to ensure our operations run smoothly; our stories are resourced appropriately; we have the right staff in the right places at the right time; and that our staff are safe throughout the world.
We are creating 2 new roles based in Bangalore to support our global operations.
Key areas of responsibility include support for:
Administrative duties
Budget
Staff
Accountabilities
Administrative support to ME (Ops) and GMs globally, including reporting, metrics, and follow up on outstanding issues.
Track budgets, accounts payable, and other unresolved financial issues.
Manage purchase orders using Ariba
Track staff issues, including managing up-to-date headcount tracker and assisting on issues related to our contractor population.
Key Deliverables
Overall support for global operations team
Support the delivery of our budget against plan
Ensure timely follow through for unresolved issues
Ensure all reports are accurate, current and easily accessible when needed
Contribute to the creation of a new global Operations team that leverages talent across all roles and supports global teams in an agile way
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Familiarity with budgeting processes and budget management
Effective at managing multiple and competing priorities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-starter and willing to identify opportunities to improve processes
Willingness to work in rotational shifts basis 24/5 business requirements
