We are currently looking for an Operational Excellence Manager (m/w/d) in the Locomotives & Passenger Coaches Engineering in Vienna. Be part of our engineering team, which develops state-of-the-art and environmentally friendly locomotives and passenger coaches. Your mission: You will help us to ensure our efficiency and quality across engineering to deliver top performance, and you will contribute to improve interfaces to other departments.
Tasks
You will collaborate closely with the Innovation Manager to constantly observe relevant technology trends and thereby act as an advisor to help us adopt state-of-the-art tech and engineering practices.
Be in regular contact with our engineering departments, identify potential for improvement (e.g. in existing processes) and incorporate this into quality and process improvement projects.
Prepare presentations and briefings for various management meetings and worldwide Engineering Department Meetings.
Own business KPI reporting and drive key technical & strategic business initiatives.
Drive our business forward together with our management team in regards of engineering capacity, Know How management, digital learning and development of talents.
Design and moderate management workshops: creating the agenda, tracking the workflows, and following up on key action items.
Act as a key liaison between Engineering Management, Engineering Departments in worldwide locations and other Business Segment Functions such as the Vectron Platform, Sales, Manufacturing and Commissioning.
You will be involved in global initiatives to take our engineering collaboration to the next level - with a focus on deepening international relations, ensuring growth and worldwide expansion.

Skills
Have Several years of professional experience in the transportation industry (e.g. railway, automotive or aviation industry).
Have an University degree in engineering - Have a Growth Mindset: fast learner and able to advise C-level stakeholders.
Enjoy working in international environments with flat hierarchies and have the ability to quickly build relationships across the entire company.
Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you have to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
Fluency in English is key – other languages are always welcome!
Flexibility to travel for business across our various international locations
What else do I need to know?
We offer an attractive remuneration package in line with your qualifications and professional experience. The gross annual salary according to the collective agreement for this position is at least EUR 62.627 based on 38.5 working hours per week. Depending on your education and experience, overpayment is possible. As a large corporation, Siemens also offers additional social benefits.
